Passive society

We live in a passive society. We live in the "ME" generation.
Society has become more and more professionalized along with the rapid human development. People have become extremely egocentric and they care only about themselves. Besides, many social functions such that individuals believe that they don’t need to get involved individually. In other words, they have ‘deputized’ or ‘outsourced’ their civic responsibility. People have become materialistic and fickle and their ultimate goal of their lives would be making more money so that they can do whatever they want to in the future. Thus they are full occupied with their work every day and traditional values are neglected.
But I have to ask: "Do we even still care that everybody is treating us as sh*t?" The politicians and the "country" wants us to pay with our money, that we worked hard for, for their mistakes, and yet nobody is giving a flying fu*k. Where are the uprisings? Where are people fighting for their rights that are taken away from us? We should not be paying for someone elses mistakes. That's like going to jail for something you didn't do and it's against the law! People are not getting involved in community issues. Such as tax or fee increases, new laws, etc.
If we look at the world they are people still fighting for what they know is right!  We live in a blind society, people walk (and drive) around all day with tunnel vision a world of blind followers ..
Unless people begin to speak up and become assertive in protecting their right to live without government interference, we will soon be living in a dictatorship.
We spend more and more time behind the computer, we became obsessed with social media as facebook, twiter and so on and on. But we don't really stand for anything anymore. We are as passive as never before. What happened?

The world we live in ...

The world we live in ...

I recently read an article in the Slovenian news about a guy who made gay porn, I said to myself, do news really have no better topic to write about than this? Not that it bothered me, but so many things are happening in the world, Slovenia too, so many things people should be informed about, but are not, they write  about such irrelevant topic as the free will of each individual. But even more than the article itself, I was disturbed by the comments on the article. People are so hostile against homosexuals, I was shocked! There was this mom who said if her daughter were a lesbian, she wouldn't love her anymore. I don't have children but if I had a daughter that would be a lesbian I would support her, not hate her. How can you even be a human and hate your own child just becouse she/he is different?? Would you like to have your rights taken away just because you are different?
Is it so wrong to be different? My mom still doesn't understand why I have tattoos, but she doesn't hate me because of it. She would have supported me in every way I choose, even if I would have been a lesbian.
So what makes people hate the others so much? The ones that "don't belong". Why shouldn't gay people be married or have children? They are human just as you are, they just love the same sex, why is that so wrong? Just put yourself in their shoes, now imagine you love your partner and you want to start a family and society is against you! Why? Because you are different, because you love a person who is the same sex as you, so how is that fair? It's not, homosexuals have rights, just the way heterosexuals have them. I strongly support gay marriage and their rights to have childen. Some pople are concerned that they will raise a child as a homosexual because they are. I laugh at that, let's asume for a moment that these people were raised by heterosexual parents and yet they are homosexual so it's not really about how you raise your children is it? In most cases they were born with it and they can't help being gay. Think about it. If you think about it there really isn't any case against homosexuals having children now is there?
That is it for now.
I will try finding new topics to write about and share them with people who still care.
Live and learn,
B. x
